Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia reportedly shuns EFCC's invitation

Barely two weeks after the crackdown on Federal, Supreme and Court of Appeal judges, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia has reportedly shunned an invitation by EFCC.

According to a report by TheCable, the Justice of the federal high court, Lagos, reportedly refused to honour an invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

This is coming following the National Judicial Commission (NJC) decision to place Ofili-Ajumogbobia on its “watch-list,” owing to gross misconduct.

However, Justice Musa Haruna Kurya of the federal high court, who also got an invitation, reported at the anti-graft agency's Lagos office to honour the invitation and answer questions by the officials.

Kurya, was reportedly accompanied by his lawyer to the EFCC's Lagos office where operatives of the commission took him on.

Before now, two federal high court judges, Mohammed Nasir Yunusa and Nganjiwa Hyledzira, have also been invited by the commission and they reported to the Lagos office, where they were quizzed.
