President nominates 46 ambassadors, sends list to Senate for approval


President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated 46 persons to serve as ambassadors.
Buhari sent the list of names to the Senate on Thursday, October 20, for confirmation and approval.

The list was read by Senate President, Bukola Saraki, during the plenary session of the upper legislative chamber on Thursday.


The list includes the name of the following: Retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice George Oguntade (Lagos); former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Mrs. Paulen Tallen (Plateau); former member of the House of Representatives, Usman Bugaje (Katsina); former Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Ibeto; former Lagos state Senator, Olorunnimbe Mamora, Among others.
