Osun State Police arrest Doctor who allegedly gave late Senator Isiaka Adeleke injection overdose

There is a new development about the death of the former governor of Osun State, and this time, its all about one quack doctor, Alfred Aderibigbe who was arrested yesterday in Ede Osun State.

According to Sahara reporters, he was arrested for allegedly administering an injection overdose on Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died after suffering a heart attack on Sunday April 23rd.


Dr Aderibigbe who has acted as one of Adeleke's personal doctors, allegedly injected the deceased with an overdose of the medication that caused his death. Aderibigbe is being accused of practicising medicine illegally.

The police arrested Aderibigbe yesterday and have detained him at the State Investigation Bureau of the Nigeria Police in Oshogbo where he is being interrogated.

Preliminary report of an autopsy ordered by the Osun State government and Mr. Adeleke’s family indicated that the senator died of drug overdose.

Late Senator Adeleke had been suffering from severe leg pain that required him to be injected with pain killers.
