'Stop chasing fake promoters, talent management, they are thieves'- Entertainment/Social Analyst Akinyele Solchild advises upcoming artists

Entertainment and Social analysts, Akinyele Solchild took to his Instagram page to penned down some powerful words saying, upcoming artists should focus more on their fans rather than chasing fake talent management. He said 80% of their breakthrough comes from the fans and consumers of their content. Read his piece below...

Dear artiste, Know this; Your chance of blowing is 80% in the hands of the fans and consumers of your content. These people determine greatly what become of your career.

The other entity that determines your breakthrough is media and her share is just 15%. Media is just a medium to reach out to your audience(fans(prospect), fans(loyals)). And let me warn you that Nigerian media is so biased that its payola or rave. If you are able to actualize the 80% fans and audience the media will be left with no choice but to use you as content.

The last that most upcoming has been caught chasing is the industry players, self acclaimed celeb and talent endorsers, these set hold just 5% of what will make a talent blow. Don't get me wrong I am not talking about talent managers and these is rare as there are too many impersonators out there claiming to have idea of talent management. I am talking about hustlers that portray themselves as entertainment industry big fish. Their effort can only yield only if you have passed the first two listed up their. Ask Skuki and they will educate you even better. And the sad part is these set will eat your money and leave you stranded when you can't pay anymore.

Your breakthrough is never depending on who you know or how you can familiaize but what you do, how good you are with it and finally the consumable worth of your craft.

Simi @symplysimi has been around more than you can think, all her unheard period i can bet she is every industry person's favourite underground girl talent, but that never got her what she deserved until her hardwork attracted consumers and today not only that she is signed to one of Nigeria's foremost record label and management, she is a brand ambassador of an international telecom brand.

Seek only truths and let it be a path to your fulfillment.
