Man arrested after 'lying he lost family in Grenfell Tower to get money

A 52-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly pretended he lost his wife and son in the Grenfell Tower fire in a bid to gain money and new housing.

According to report, the man wanted to claim some finacial support. "An investigation started after it became apparent that there were " inconsistencies" in the man's stories". Met police said.

Nearby reidents later confirmed that the man did not live at the address as claimed by the man.
