Some women in igbogbo town area of Ikorodu staged a peaceful protest yesterday July 4 over constant power supply failure in the town. According to the women, PHCN are the ones helping Baddo members to carry out their operations.

The protesting women drawn from Anibaba street in Ikorodu, said if their town had constant supply of power, the rate of crime committed by these notorious cult group members would be drastically reduced if not eradicated.

Speaking, Mrs. Idayat Muritala, who led the protest said, erratic power supply in the town has continuously aided the Badoo Cult group. She however narrates how two suspected Baddo members escaped through bush overnight due to total blackout in the community.

On hearing this, one of the royal fathers in Ikorodu, Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo called on the women and some of the PHCN officials to come to his palace for a quick meeting, but non of the officials honored the invitation.

The monarch then asked the women to remain calm, saying, he will have a meeting with the PHCN official but warn the women to talk to their husbands, children to desist from coming late in the night.
