KETO CABBAGE SWALLOW

KETO CABBAGE SWALLOW

HEY GUYS!!! 💃💃💃 I know a lot of you are wondering why I’ve been up to KETO! KETO!! KETO!!! well, i’m being particular about health and these are what i feed on… Most of us who grew up in African households have bewildering bonds with ‘swallow’. I do apologize if I’ve lost you… ‘swallow’ is the term used to describe the malleable ball of carbs, usually served as an accompaniment to a variety of vegetable and protein-filled soups and sauces. The problem with a regular intake of swallow, is that while they are very filling, they have a high carbohydrate count of about 79g of carbs per 100g of cassava.
Anyways, for “health nuts” like me, you can now eat your cake and have it literally. I know how difficult it could be staying away from all your favorite meals when you’re on a diet. Here’s an amazing thought with the Cabbage Swallow.

I know you are probably thinking and wondering how in the world a swallow meal can be made out of cabbage. But you know what, you sit, read and learn. Thanks to my aunt, and her dietitians who keep looking for healthier alternatives to our favorite meals, this is now a reality. I tell you, the originator of this recipe is not known but it sure tastes amazing.
INGREDIENTS:
  • Cabbage – 1
  • Psyllium Husk – 2 tablespoons
  • Water – 4 glasses
Procedure
  • Wash your cabbage
  • Cut it into smaller bits
  • Boil with little water for about 5 minutes
  • Strain water and blend cabbage till it forms a fine paste.
  • Pour puree into a pot and heat up on low flame
  • While heating up, add psyllium husk to bind the paste together
  • Stir and mold
  • Serve with soup of your choice
So psyllium husk is an ingredient that helps bind food together and stops it from falling apart. Its original use is to help in cleansing the system. It has other health benefits. psyll3psyll2
