22,000 teachers failed a test meant for primary four pupils..

The test was set by the Kaduna State Universal Education Board to test the competency of its teachers. 33,000 teachers sat for the test, but only 11,220 passed.

Government plans to sack the teachers who couldn’t pass, and that have led to a series of protests.  The “olodo” teachers were protesting/ranting. The secondary and primary school pupils were protesting, And the Nigeria Labour Congress is protesting too.

"Only the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has the competency to test teachers' proficiency.”

“Examination is not the true test of knowledge.” these are Some of their defense lines.  Should they be fired or not?  Should this question even be asked?....Nawa o!
