Oh yea!!! A soda drink is a drink that typically contains carbonated water, a sweetener, and a natural or artificial flavoring. The sweetener may be sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, sugar substitutes (in the case of diet drinks), or some combination of these. Soda drinks may also contain caffeine, coloring, preservatives, and other ingredients.
Do you drink soda? How often do you drink it?
So growing up, I was an avid drinker of Coca-Cola and other soft drinks. Actually, I was pretty much a sprite addict that I could never get past a day without sprite it was normal for me to finish 3 bottles in one seating.
As I grew up, I became more conscious of the need to be healthy. I looked into my diet, including my soda habits, and realized how unhealthy soda was. So I removed them from my diet. Coke, Sprite, Pepsi, all of that. In the very rare occasions when I drink soda, I find the taste exceedingly sweet, acidic, and off-putting I can’t get past a few sips. Looking back, it was hard to believe that I was putting so much of this junk into my body.
Do you know soda drinks causes your body system more harm than good??? Ok let’s see the disadvantages of soda drinks…..
  • Weight Gain
  • Heart Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Dental Problems
  • Gout: Gout is a condition in which your body has too much uric acid, causing your joints to become swollen and inflamed.
If soda drink is damaging your body system, why not take SMOOTHIE if at all you want to have drinks….
A smoothie (occasionally spelled smoothee or smoothy) is a thick beverage made from blended raw fruit or vegetables with other ingredients such as water, ice, or sweeteners.
So of recent, due to the fact that i’m on diet, i’ve taken interest in smoothie and this has actually being a plus to my weight loss plan. Trust me it’s not easy, but we have to let go of some things for a good health.
  • 1 watermelon, cut into bits
  • 3 medium-size cucumbers, washed and chopped (no need to peel)
  • Squeezed lime juice
  • Mint leaves (not compulsory)
  • Ice cubes
Put the cucumber and lime juice into a blender. Blend on high until smooth. Add half of the frozen watermelon and blend until almost completely smooth, turning off the blender and pushing down on the ingredients with a spatula or wooden spoon as needed to help the blending process. Add the remaining frozen watermelon and continue to blend until smooth. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water if needed to adjust consistency. Pour into a glass and garnish with a cucumber slice.
Let’s see the advantages of smoothie;
  • Quick, easy and money savvy
  • Easier weight loss.
  • Improved digestion.
  • Build muscle and improve athletic performance..
  • Strengthen your immune system.Getting sick is no fun. Reduce the number of times you get sick (if at all) and lesson the severity by empowering your immune system.
  • Deeper sleep.
  • Brain boost
So please let’s know your take on these two drinks. Thanks!
